Condie on LKLive
Condoleezza Rice was on Larry King Live tonight and gave the Administration’s standard sentiment of “if we knew then what we know now that Iraq had no WMDs, I would still support and recommend the waging of war.” What a fucking crock. I mean seriously, if we knew then—and many of us did—then we would have needed to focus on a stronger coalition of nations including Middle East support to depose a tyrannical leader rather than unilaterally invading and occupying a foreign nation. But to wrap all of this Iraq mess in the blanket of “The War on Terror” is fraudulent and irresponsible. The logic that Al Qaeda was set to obtain WMDs from Iraq was always fundamentally flawed and a little too opportune considering that there a half dozen other nations from which WMDs are available. Yet we chose to invade Daddy Bush’s nemesis? Hmm. Convenient. By the way, it seems to me that letting Condie on LKL is like giving the Bush administration free propaganda airtime. Just my two cents.
